Victorian House gets Slate Roof Replacement in Jericho Oxford
Slate Roof Replacement in Jericho Oxford
Josephine owns a magnificent five-storey listed end-terrace townhouse in the popular North Oxford area of Jericho.
The roof was ageing and the cost for even small roof repairs was becoming prohibitive, since the height of the building required scaffolding each time – even for the replacement of a single tile.
Then a neighbour for whom we’d recently completed a roof replacement recommended that she talk to us about replacing the slate tiled roof once and for all. The project was a challenge, with multiple angles, gutters, chimneys and Velux windows, but that was no problem for us. Kryzstof and the team have been doing this for nearly thirty years, so we were able to plan the job and overcome most of the difficulties before we even got started.
The very tall building meant that we needed to erect a lot of scaffolding and bring in extra hoist equipment, but we completed the slate roof replacement in just under 4 weeks.
Josephine was so delighted with the project that she asked us to come back to insulate the loft space and plaster.
“Kryzstof and his small team cheerfully overcame a number of difficulties with our fiddly Victorian roof. The quality of his work was evident and there was no detail that we could mention that he hadn’t already anticipated. It was a pleasure to see the pride he took in his work.”
